The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will present a dynamic tableau at this year’s Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, showcasing India’s significant progress in renewable energy and its commitment to a greener future. The tableau, which will be both visually captivating and educational, will also pay homage to India’s rich cultural heritage.
One of the key features of the display will be the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the world’s largest residential rooftop solar program, highlighting the government’s ambitious goal of expanding solar energy access. Alongside this, other transformative initiatives, such as the PM Kusum scheme, will be showcased, underlining the country’s commitment to renewable energy and its potential to generate millions of green jobs by 2030.
The tableau will also spotlight India’s advancements in green hydrogen and the country’s position as the fourth-largest installer of wind energy globally. This representation is a testament to India’s energy transition under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A special moment during the parade will be the presence of 800 distinguished guests—beneficiaries of the PM Suryaghar, PM Kusum schemes, and renewable energy technicians, who will be among the first to witness this portrayal of India’s sustainable energy future.
Through its visionary programs, MNRE continues to provide affordable and clean energy to millions of Indian households while promoting domestic manufacturing in the renewable energy sector, paving the way for a more sustainable and self-reliant nation.
