Ujjain: Under the leadership of Dr. Mohan Yadav, the city of Mahakal received a new gastronomic landmark with the inauguration of Naivedya Lok near Nanakheda Bus Stand. The grand opening coincided with Chaitra Nav Varsh Pratipada, making it a festive occasion for the residents and visitors of Ujjain.
Grand Inauguration and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The Chief Minister inaugurated the ₹18 crore facility modeled after Indore’s 56-shop design, performing the ceremony with Vedic chants and conch sounds. He personally toured each stall, interacting with vendors and sampling some of the offerings.
Naivedya Lok hosts stalls from popular local restaurants and food establishments, ensuring a perfect blend of taste and health for citizens and visitors. The facility emphasizes nutritious food made from Ann (coarse grains) and other organic ingredients.
Diverse Food Options with Focus on Health
Naivedya Lok offers a variety of healthy and traditional foods, including:
- Kodo Shri Ann Khichdi, Kodo Shri Ann Kheer, Kodo Shri Ann Idli
- Jowar Poha, Ragi Sev

Famous ‘Kachru Bhaiya’s Kachori’ Available

CM Dr. Yadav personally appreciated the initiative, noting that residents of Nanakheda no longer need to travel to the old city for this iconic snack.
