Hatta, Damoh: Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, participated in a Women Empowerment Conference in Hatta, Damoh district, where he laid the foundation for 13 major development projects worth over ₹405.58 crore.
The CM emphasized that in Madhya Pradesh, girls are respected from birth through their entire lives, and the state government is committed to empowering women through targeted schemes and initiatives.
Honoring Girls and Promoting Women’s Health
During the event, CM Yadav praised the ‘Ladli Laxmi’ scheme for improving societal attitudes toward girls and positively impacting the gender ratio in the state.
He also highlighted the recently launched HPV vaccination program for cervical cancer prevention, urging parents to ensure girls above 14 years receive the vaccine. Certificates were awarded to eight girls from Hatta who had received the HPV vaccine.

Hatta Renamed as ‘Shivkashi’
Acknowledging the historical and religious significance of Hatta, the CM announced the renaming of the area to ‘Shivkashi’, in honor of Lord Gaurishankar. The move was welcomed by residents and aims to give the region a distinct cultural identity.
Key Development Announcements for Hatta
CM Yadav made several announcements to boost infrastructure, education, and civic amenities in the Hatta region:
- Construction of a new ITI building to enhance technical education and employment opportunities
- Modern Municipal Corporation building and Geeta Bhavan
- Expansion of higher education, including agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry courses at Hatta College
- New colleges in Patera and secondary school buildings in Madiyado and Deori Fatehpur
- Road widening and construction projects, including Vinati-Madiyado-Chauraiya road and Taradahi Tiraha to Chaurai stretch
Industrial and Economic Development
CM Yadav emphasized plans to expand industrial activities in Damoh district, aiming to boost investment, employment opportunities, and strengthen the local economy.
Government Schemes Supporting Women and Community
The CM highlighted how government schemes act as a companion to women and girls at every stage of life, promoting social and economic empowerment. He reiterated that Madhya Pradesh respects women as an integral part of society and the state’s development.
Focus on Heritage and Development
CM Yadav said the government is following the principle of ‘Heritage to Development’, balancing infrastructure growth with cultural preservation. He recalled last year’s state cabinet meeting at Khajuraho, where over ₹27,500 crore worth of development projects were approved, demonstrating the government’s commitment to roads, education, health, tourism, and employment.
Substantial Investments in Civic Amenities
In addition to large-scale infrastructure projects, the CM also announced improvements in ward-level development including:
- CC roads in Ward 3
- Beautification and road widening in key junctions
- Development projects in Tendu Kheda and surrounding areas
These initiatives are part of Madhya Pradesh’s push to improve quality of life, enhance connectivity, and empower local communities.
