Bhopal/Ratlam: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav demonstrated his hands-on leadership style once again by visiting the fields in Sailana tehsil, Ratlam district, to assess crop damage caused by natural calamities. On September 12, the Chief Minister met farmers affected by heavy rains and pest attacks, personally inspected the damaged crops, and shared heartfelt moments of empathy and encouragement.
CM’s Direct Engagement with Farmers
Upon arriving in Sailana, CM Dr. Yadav immediately began interacting with farmers, listening carefully to their concerns regarding the devastation of their crops. Rather than staying distant, the Chief Minister walked with the farmers into the fields, examined the crops firsthand, and embraced them, conveying solidarity and assurance.
He told the farmers that the state government stands firmly with them during every hour of crisis and promised swift action to assess crop damage and provide timely compensation. “The coming time is yours,” he said, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural community.

Emotional Moments and Assurance of Support
The visit was marked by emotional scenes, with the Chief Minister visibly moved by the hardships faced by the farmers. He held their hands, assured them of full government support, and stressed that no farmer would be allowed to suffer losses due to these unforeseen natural disasters.
CM Dr. Yadav also urged officials present at the site to expedite damage assessment and ensure the farmers receive adequate relief at the earliest. He made it clear that the government’s priority is to shield the food providers of the state from any hardship.
Ongoing Efforts: From Shajapur to Sailana
This style of close communication was also witnessed recently in Shajapur district, where the CM held a Kisan Chaupal to discuss issues like poor soybean yields. During that visit, he promised enhanced water availability through projects like the Narmada-Parvati-Chambal-Kalisindh Link Project, aiming to transform the lives of farmers.
He also addressed pending insurance claims, directing authorities to clear dues for farmers from previous years.

Supporting Farmers Through Multiple Schemes
Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted several initiatives aimed at boosting farmer welfare, including:
Kamdhenu Yojana: A scheme encouraging cow rearing with government purchases of cow milk. Subsidies up to Rs. 10 lakh will be provided for rearing 25 cows. Gaushalas will receive subsidies and land allotments to support sustainable cattle farming.
Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam: A horticulture promotion program offering subsidies of Rs. 2 lakh in the first year and Rs. 55,000 annually for two subsequent years to farmers planting orchards on one-acre land.
Cotton Production Encouragement: The development of the PM Mitra industrial park in Badnawar, Dhar district, with the foundation stone to be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, will further support farmers engaged in cotton cultivation.
Looking Ahead: A Government Committed to Farmers
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s visit reiterates the state government’s commitment to proactively support farmers, especially during times of crisis. By combining empathy with actionable plans, the government aims to ensure the agricultural sector not only recovers but thrives in the coming years.
