Mumbai/New Delhi: Shares of MOIL Ltd, India’s largest manganese ore producer, rose nearly 1% on Thursday after the company announced record-breaking production and exploration figures for the first quarter of FY2025–26. MOIL achieved a highest-ever Q1 production of 5.02 lakh tonnes, marking a 6.8% increase over the same period last year (CPLY).
In June 2025 alone, MOIL produced 1.68 lakh tonnes of manganese ore, the highest monthly figure ever, and 2% higher than June 2024. The company’s ongoing focus on operational efficiency and capacity expansion is credited with driving these gains.
Exploration Milestone Surpassed
Alongside production, MOIL also reported its highest-ever exploratory core drilling in Q1, covering 34,900 meters, a jump of 16.2% over the previous year’s first quarter. This exploration boost underlines MOIL’s long-term strategy to increase resource availability and future mine development.

Leadership Commentary
CMD Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena hailed the performance, saying:
“The company’s resounding performance in April–June 2025 reflects its strong fundamentals and continued growth outlook.”
He added that MOIL remains focused on scaling up both production and exploration to meet growing domestic demand and support India’s industrial needs.
Market Reaction
MOIL shares responded positively to the announcement. The stock was trading at ₹392.50, up 0.96%, on the BSE during Thursday’s session. It opened at ₹389.90 and maintained a steady upward trajectory through early trading.
