MP CM Mohan Yadav Launches ‘Aarti Bhog Prasad’ Postal Service, Honors 16,800 Rural Postal Workers

Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the Rural Postal Workers Conference at Kartik Mela Ground in Ujjain. During the event, he inaugurated the ‘Aarti Bhog Prasad’ service and honored rural postal workers from across the state for their dedication and service.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. A new postal service was launched to deliver offerings from Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga to the public. Additionally, pictorial postcards featuring Ujjain’s famous landmarks were released.

Modern Role of India Post in Citizen Services

CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the evolving role of the Indian Postal Department, which has grown from a letter-delivery system during British rule into a modern service provider.

  • Postal services now deliver temple offerings, provide insurance, savings, and banking services, and offer speed post and digital services.
  • Citizens can open accounts, access financial products, and receive faster, more efficient postal services.

He praised the post offices for their role in providing citizen-centric services and adopting digital and computerized systems.

Rural Postal Workers: Pillars of Rural Economy

The CM described rural postal workers as the backbone of India’s rural economy, comparing their dedication to that of soldiers. These workers ensure that essential services reach every village.

  • Madhya Pradesh has over 16,800 active rural postal workers, contributing not only to postal services but also to economic empowerment in villages.
  • The CM congratulated postal workers for their hard work in delivering both information and essential services.

New Initiatives Driving Development in Rural Areas

Under the leadership of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Indian Postal Department is expanding its services and creating new development opportunities in rural Madhya Pradesh.

CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the modernization of post offices is a significant step toward enhancing accessibility, improving citizen services, and supporting rural economic growth.

This event underscores the state government’s commitment to recognizing rural postal workers while introducing innovative postal services for citizens.
