Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹502 crore in fee reimbursement under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic session 2024–25 during a programme in Narsinghpur on October 11. The amount will be credited to the accounts of 20,456 private schools across the state, supporting free education for more than 8.19 lakh students.
During the visit, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the newly constructed building of the Government Sandipani Excellence School in Narsinghpur. Built at a cost of more than ₹45 crore, the school features modern educational infrastructure and facilities designed to support students’ academic and overall development.
School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, local public representatives, other dignitaries, students and parents are expected to attend the programme.
₹502 Crore to Benefit Over 8.19 Lakh Students
The fee reimbursement initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh government’s efforts to ensure that children from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections have access to quality education.
Under the Right to Education Act, eligible children from these sections are provided free admission to private schools from Class 1 to Class 8. The state government reimburses the tuition fees of eligible students directly to the respective private schools.
The transfer of ₹502 crore for the 2024–25 academic session will help 20,456 private schools continue providing free education to more than 8.19 lakh students.
The government is implementing the RTE Act to ensure that no child in the state is deprived of educational opportunities due to financial constraints.

₹3,600 Crore Paid in RTE Fee Reimbursement Since 2011
Madhya Pradesh has released more than ₹3,600 crore in fee reimbursement under the RTE scheme since 2011, benefiting over 16.85 lakh students.
The payments are made directly to private schools to cover the fees of eligible children admitted under the scheme. The initiative aims to improve access to quality education for children from poor and disadvantaged families.
Through the continued implementation of the RTE Act, the state government is working to make education more accessible and create better opportunities for students from economically weaker backgrounds.
Sandipani Excellence School Building to Be Inaugurated in Narsinghpur
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the new building of the Government Sandipani Excellence School in Narsinghpur, constructed at a cost of more than ₹45 crore under the state’s Sandipani Vidyalaya Scheme.
The school has been developed to provide a modern, well-equipped learning environment for students from KG-1 to Class 12. The infrastructure is designed to support their academic, intellectual, physical and overall development.
The Sandipani school initiative is part of the state’s efforts to strengthen government education institutions and provide students with access to better educational facilities.
Digital Classrooms, Science Labs and Sports Facilities
The newly constructed school building offers a range of modern facilities to support classroom learning, practical education and extracurricular activities.
Key facilities at the school include:
- Digital classrooms: Well-equipped classrooms to support technology-enabled learning.
- Computer laboratory: Facilities to help students develop computer skills.
- Modern science laboratory: Infrastructure for practical learning and scientific experiments.

Sandipani School Student Secures Place in Class 12 Merit List
The impact of the Sandipani school initiative is also reflected in students’ academic achievements. According to the state government, Mahi Sahu, a meritorious student of the Sandipani School in Narsinghpur, secured a place in the Class 12 merit list for the academic session 2025–26.
Her achievement has brought recognition to the school and the region, highlighting the importance of quality education and a supportive learning environment.
Through the RTE fee reimbursement scheme and the development of modern government schools, the Madhya Pradesh government aims to expand educational access, strengthen infrastructure and create better learning opportunities for students across the state.
