Bhopal/Banda: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed Sandipani School building in Banda, Sagar district, and highlighted the transformative potential of the Ken-Betwa Link Project for agriculture in Bundelkhand. Speaking at the inauguration, he said that the project would ensure water supply to every farm in the region, boosting prosperity and enabling farmers to improve their land. He urged farmers not to sell their agricultural land, emphasizing that the project would greatly benefit agriculture in the near future.
Focus on Agriculture and Animal Husbandry
Dr. Yadav emphasized that the comprehensive development of farmers is the government’s top priority. Alongside agriculture, animal husbandry is being promoted across Madhya Pradesh. To boost milk production, the state government provides financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh for establishing gaushalas with 25 cows, part of a total investment of ₹40 lakh. The government’s aim is to make Madhya Pradesh the number-one milk-producing state in India.

Major Development Announcements for Banda
During the event, the CM unveiled or approved 16 construction projects worth ₹50.65 crore. He also announced the approval of the long-awaited Launch River Project in Sagar district. Other announcements included:
- Construction of a new civil hospital in Shahgarh
- Stadium in Banda
- Post-mortem facility in Banda Civil Hospital
- New buildings for schools without proper infrastructure in Rakshi, Chakheri, and Vineyka
Dr. Yadav emphasized that development across all districts is being accelerated to make Madhya Pradesh the number-one state in India. He highlighted the elevation of Dr. Harisingh Gour University to a central university and the establishment of Veerangana Avanti Bai Lodhi University for student welfare.
Inauguration of State-of-the-Art Sandipani School
The new Sandipani School building in Banda, constructed at a cost of ₹31 crore, is equipped with modern facilities to benefit local students. The project aims to provide high-quality education to children from economically weaker sections, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for educational development.
Emphasis on Quality and Skill-Based Education
Dr. Yadav stressed that quality and employment-oriented education is the foundation of a strong nation. He announced that from 1st December, Gita Jayanti celebrations will be observed across the state, with Gita Bhavans and Vrindavan villages being established in all urban and rural localities.

Support for Farmers and Financial Schemes
The CM highlighted the implementation of price difference support schemes (Bhavantar Yojana) for farmers, assuring that financial resources will be adequately provided. Initiatives are also underway to develop locations such as Ujjain as Krishna education centers and pilgrimage sites, preserving the valour and legacy of Bundelkhand.
Boosting Tourism: Oberoi Hotel Project
To promote tourism and generate employment, the CM announced the Oberoi Hotel project between Chhatarpur and Panna, aiming to enhance the region’s recognition and economic opportunities.
Honouring Martyrs and Talents
The CM paid tribute to Rajesh Yadav’s father from village Kwaila, a martyr, and the father of cricketer Kranti Gaud from Lidhora village. Awards and recognition were also given to outstanding performers across various fields.
Promoting Organic Farming and Agricultural Technology
Dr. Yadav appreciated initiatives in organic farming and encouraged farmers to use machines like Happy Seeder and Super Seeder for effective residue management, reducing air pollution. He reviewed exhibitions on irrigation, horticulture, food processing, One District One Product (ODOP), and holistic education. He also tasted millet-based food products prepared by women’s self-help groups.
Engagement with Students
The CM interacted directly with students in Sandipani School classrooms, offering guidance on education, career planning, and life skills. He emphasized time management, regular exercise, and balanced digital usage, urging students to excel in both academics and sports to bring pride to their state and nation.
Virtual Connection to Bhagwat Katha
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Yadav connected via video conference to the ongoing Shreemad Bhagwat Katha at Balaji Temple, Sagar, extending his best wishes to all devotees.
