MP: Govt Transfers 21 Senior IAS Officers in Major Reshuffle, Sanjay Shukla Made PS, Urban Devt

In a significant late-night administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 21 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various key departments. The reshuffle includes changes at the top levels of energy, urban development, welfare, and industrial sectors.

Key Transfers:

Manu Shrivastava, who was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Energy and Renewable Energy, has been moved to a new role as the ACS for Renewable Energy and Sports Welfare.

Neeraj Mandloi, the former ACS of Urban Development, has been appointed as the ACS of the Energy Department. He will also hold the additional charge as the Managing Director of MP Power Management Company.

Sanjay Shukla, the Principal Secretary (PS) of Women and Child Development, has been transferred to become the PS of Urban Development.

Umakant Umrao, previously the PS of Labour, will now serve as the PS for Mining, Labour, and Animal Husbandry.

Raghvendra Kumar Singh, who was the PS to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the PS for Industrial Policy and Promotion and MSME Department.

Gulshan Bamra, previously the PS of Environment, has been transferred as the PS of Tribal Welfare.

E Ramesh Kumar, the PS of Tribal Welfare, has been reassigned to the Social Justice and Empowerment Welfare Department.

Navneet Kothari, the Secretary of MSME and Managing Director of LUN, has been transferred as the Secretary of Environment and Director General of EPCO (Environmental Planning and Coordination Organization).

Sriman Shukla, Commissioner of Shahdol, has been moved to the position of Commissioner for Tribal Development.

Madan Vibbhishan Nagargoje, a member of the Revenue Board in Gwalior, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Handicrafts and Handlooms.

Surbhi Gupta, Secretary of Health and the AIDS Control Society, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Shahdol.

Dilip Kumar, Managing Director of the State Agro Industries Corporation, has been moved to the position of Commissioner of Industries and MD of LUN.

Priyanka Das, Mission Director of the National Health Mission, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary for MSME.

Priti Maithil, Additional Secretary in the Labour Department, has been transferred to the position of Additional Secretary for Horticulture and Food Processing.

Manish Singh, Commissioner of the MP Housing Board, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary for Transport and MD of the State Transport Corporation.

Anurag Choudhary, Managing Director of the State Mining Corporation, has been transferred as the Additional Secretary for OBC and Minorities Welfare.

Mohit Bundas, MD of Handlooms, has been moved to the role of Commissioner for Sericulture.

Manoj Pusp, Director of Panchayat Raj and CEO of the Livelihood Project, has been posted as OSD-Joint Commissioner and Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

Gautam Singh, Mission Director for Skill Development, will now serve as the Additional Secretary for Revenue.

Girish Sharma, Additional Secretary in the General Administration Department (GAD), has been appointed as the Mission Director for Skill Development.

Pankaj Jain, Managing Director of MP Bhawan, will continue in his position, with additional charge as MD of the MP Pollution Control Board (PCB).

This large-scale reshuffle reflects the state government’s efforts to reassign key officers to strategic roles, particularly focusing on the crucial sectors of energy, welfare, urban development, and industrial growth.

Additionally, five more IAS officers were transferred just an hour after these transfers.

2012 batch Nidhi Nivedita, MD, Women Finance and Development Corporation to MD, Fisheries Federation.

2012 batch IAS officer Kumar Purushottam, deputy secretary, backward class and minority welfare department, has been appointed as MD, Agriculture Marketing Board.

While 2013 batch IAS officer Uma Maheshwari R, additional mission director, State Education Centre to Indian Medical System and Homeopathy.

2014 batch IAS officer Saloni Sidana, OSD-cum-Commissioner-cum-Director, Indian Medical System and Homeopathy to mission director, National Health Mission.

A promotee IAS officer Shuchismita Saxena, deputy secretary, revenue department to deputy secretary, public health and medical education department.
