Ujjain: The International Jackson Group is set to invest ₹8,000 crore in a mega solar project near Barandwa, close to Maksi in Ujjain district. The project, which will be executed in two phases, is scheduled to have its foundation stone laid by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on November 14. Alongside the solar project, the CM will also inaugurate and lay the foundation for four other industrial units in the region. The solar project is expected to provide direct employment to around 4,000 people and indirect opportunities for thousands more.

A New Era of Industrial Development in Ujjain

The Ujjain district has been witnessing increasing industrial activity, with major companies such as PepsiCo and Aisher already establishing operations in the region. Following this trend, the Jackson Group will set up a state-of-the-art solar energy plant at Barandwa Industrial Area in two phases. The project will focus on the production of solar modules and related equipment, contributing significantly to the region’s renewable energy and industrial infrastructure.

Officials anticipate that the Jackson Group’s investment will usher in a new phase of industrial growth, particularly in Barandwa (Tarana tehsil) and Maksi (Shajapur district), positioning the area as a hub for solar energy manufacturing and related industries.
