NALCO’s Alumina Refinery and M&R Complex at Koraput, Odisha, has been conferred with the 5S Award in the Par Excellence category by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) in collaboration with the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE).

This highly coveted award recognizes the unit’s exceptional implementation of the 5S Workplace Management System – Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. The result has been enhanced productivity, improved workplace safety, and better environmental performance, marking NALCO’s continued commitment to operational efficiency and workplace quality.

Captive Power Plant Wins Mission Energy Foundation’s Environment Excellence Award
Adding another feather to its cap, NALCO’s Captive Power Plant (CPP) received the Environment Excellence Award 2025 from the Mission Energy Foundation, under the <250 MW Coal-Based Category.

The award was presented to Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Director (Production), NALCO, who accepted the honor on behalf of the company. This recognition affirms the CPP’s efforts in sustainable energy management, emission control, and responsible energy production.

Greentech Environment Awards for Panchpatmali Bauxite Mines and Alumina Refinery
