Raipur: In a strong message of hope and transformation, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai declared that Naxalism will be rooted out from Chhattisgarh by March 2026, reiterating the commitment of both the state and central governments to establish peace and inclusive development in Naxal-affected areas, particularly Bastar.
The Chief Minister made the remarks during a cordial interaction with 96 youth – young men and women – from the remote Gram Panchayats of Niyyad Nella Nar in Bijapur district, who visited Raipur for the first time under a government outreach program.
“Through willpower, sensitivity, and inclusive policies, we are creating a new Bastar,” the Chief Minister told the youth gathered at his official residence. “Your self-confidence is our strength, and with your partnership, we will build a peaceful and developed Bastar.”
A Youth-Led Transformation
The state government’s flagship initiative, ‘Niyad Nella Nar’, is creating new opportunities for youth in Naxal-affected districts. According to the CM, the scheme is not only changing the landscape of remote villages through development projects but also empowering youth with self-reliance and dignity.
“You are the future of Chhattisgarh,” CM Sai said. “The dreams you’ve shared here today prove that Bastar wants peace, education, sports, and opportunities – not violence.”
The visiting youth echoed this sentiment, sharing how the scheme has transformed their outlook and given them a platform to pursue education, skill development, and community service. “We want to be part of Bastar’s transformation,” they affirmed. “The Niyad Nella Nar scheme has given us new direction and identity.”

A Vision for a New Bastar
CM Sai emphasized that Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has committed to completely eliminating Naxalism by March 2026, and the state is actively removing all obstacles to development in conflict-prone regions.
“Bastar is rich in natural beauty, resources, and culture,” said the Chief Minister. “We are working to provide water facilities to enhance agriculture and to ensure quality education and skills for our youth. Events like ‘Bastar Olympics’ and ‘Bastar Pandum’ reflect the vibrant soul of Bastar and symbolize the community’s shift towards peace and cultural pride.”
Government’s Inclusive Push
The Chief Minister’s address was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, and Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, an IPS officer of 1992 batch from Chhattisgarh cadre, among other senior officials.
The government reiterated its commitment to providing every youth with access to skill training, education, and sports. CM Sai called upon the youth to join the mainstream and become “the carriers of change,” playing a vital role in building a strong, secure, and prosperous Bastar.
