NBCC Subsidiary HSCC Signs Strategic MoU with Bharat Electronics to Strengthen India’s Healthcare Ecosystem

New Delhi: State-owned construction major NBCC (India) Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Limited, has entered into a Strategic Collaboration Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The partnership aims to develop a comprehensive healthcare manufacturing and services ecosystem in India, supporting the government’s push for domestic healthcare solutions.

Scope of the Strategic Collaboration

According to a regulatory filing with stock exchanges, the MoU between HSCC and BEL covers a wide spectrum of activities, including:

  • Manufacturing and supply of medical devices
  • Development of healthcare IT and digital solutions
  • Consultancy services and project execution
  • Joint procurement initiatives
  • Annual maintenance contract (AMC) and warranty support
  • Advisory and strategic services

The two public sector enterprises will execute project-specific agreements individually based on the requirements of each project. NBCC clarified that this MoU was signed as part of the normal course of business of its subsidiary, HSCC.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure by promoting integrated and indigenous healthcare solutions. The strategic MoU also paves the way for leveraging expertise in project execution, technology integration, and operational management to improve accessibility and quality of healthcare products and services across India.
