NBCC Joins Hands with Odisha Universities for Major PM-USHA Infrastructure Projects

New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited has strengthened its commitment to higher education infrastructure by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Odisha State Open University and Gangadhar Meher University. The collaboration aims to carry out construction and renovation projects under the Government of India’s PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri – University Support and Higher Education Advancement) scheme.

The agreements were formalized by NBCC’s Strategic Business Group (SBG), Odisha, and mark a significant step in improving educational infrastructure in state universities under the GSU (Government Supported Universities) component of PM-USHA.

Focus on Upgrading Higher Education Infrastructure

The initiative focuses on enhancing academic environments and modernizing facilities in state universities. The projects under PM-USHA’s GSU scheme include:

  • Construction of new academic and administrative buildings
  • Renovation of existing classrooms, laboratories, and auditoriums
  • Upgrading campus facilities to meet modern educational standards
  • Ensuring improved access to students and faculty

These measures are expected to boost the quality of higher education and create a safer, more conducive learning environment for thousands of students in Odisha.

Collaboration with Odisha State Open University and Gangadhar Meher University

Both universities will benefit from enhanced academic infrastructure, enabling them to support research, teaching, and student engagement more effectively.
