In a recent development, several bureaucrats were appointed private secretaries to different Union Ministers. They are:
- IAS Mahatme Sandeep Namdeo (2010 batch) has been appointed Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Panchayat Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, at the Deputy Secretary level. Officer Namdeo has been appointed for a tenure up to May 2026, on a co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- IRS Ashutosh Kumar (2013 batch) has been appointed Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Mr. Ram Nath Thakur, at the Deputy Secretary level. Officer Kumar has been appointed for a tenure up to May 2027, on a co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- IRS Sukanta Vatsa (2013 batch) has been appointed Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and External Affairs, Mr. Kirti Vardhan Singh, at the Deputy Secretary level. Officer Vatsa has been appointed for a tenure up to July 2028, on a co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
