In recent developments, several bureaucrats have been appointed private secretaries to different union ministers. They are:
- IRS Swapnil Patil (2011 batch) has been appointed Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Mr. Kamlesh Paswan. Officer Patil has been appointed for a tenure up to August 2027 on a co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- IAS Bakki Karthikeyan (2013 batch) has been appointed Private Secretary to the Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Mr. G Krishna Reddy. Officer Karthikeyan has been appointed on a co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
