Faridabad: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 (27.10.2025 – 02.11.2025), NHPC organized a Kavi Sammelan, Walkathon, and Street Play at its Corporate Office in Faridabad. The events were inaugurated by Mr. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, along with Directors Mr. Uttam Lal, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Mr. Suprakash Adhikari, Mr. Mahesh Kumar Sharma, and Chief Vigilance Officer Mr. Santosh Kumar, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the start of the Kavi Sammelan.

CMD Emphasizes Vigilance and Integrity

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bhupender Gupta highlighted that NHPC personnel perform their duties with responsibility, vigilance, and integrity. He said, “Vigilance should be practiced year-round. These programmes aim to raise awareness about the harmful effects of corruption and promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and integrity in society. It is everyone’s responsibility to carry out their duties with vigilance and awareness.”

Theme of the Week: “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility”

Mr. Santosh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, emphasized that this year’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, underscores the need for collective efforts in adhering to vigilance regulations and fostering awareness throughout the organization.

Kavi Sammelan Celebrates Poetry and Creativity

The Kavi Sammelan featured renowned poets from across India, including Mr. Upendra Pandey, Mr. Anil Agravanshi, Mr. Shailendra Madhur, and poetess Smt. Kalpana Shukla, who enthralled the audience with poems encompassing heroic, romantic, and humorous themes.

Walkathon and Street Play Spread Vigilance Awareness

Earlier in the day, a Walkathon was flagged off by NHPC directors and senior officials to promote physical activity alongside vigilance awareness. A street play presented by Mitra Cultural Society, New Delhi, effectively communicated the importance of vigilance in everyday life. Senior officials and employees actively participated in both activities, reflecting NHPC’s commitment to creating a culture of awareness.

Weeklong Programmes Across NHPC Locations

Throughout Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, NHPC is organizing various activities, including essay writing, debates, poetry recitations, and painting competitions across all its locations, to engage employees and reinforce the values of transparency and accountability.
