Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi at the CM residence in Patna. During the meeting, the CM presented Vaibhav with a ₹50 lakh reward in recognition of his outstanding performance in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026, where he played a crucial role in India’s championship victory.

Bihar Government Lauds His Talent

CM Nitish Kumar took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to praise Vaibhav, stating:
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played an exceptional role in India’s U-19 World Cup 2026 victory, bringing pride to Bihar. May he continue to break records and make India proud.”

Minister Vijay Chaudhary added that Vaibhav is not only a star of Bihar but a shining talent for the entire nation. He emphasized that the Bihar government will continue supporting young athletes like Vaibhav.
