Bihar: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday unveiled foundation stones for 10 development projects worth ₹899.46 crore in Gaya district. The projects, announced earlier during his Pragati Yatra, were inaugurated remotely from an event held at Chakand High School campus.
Major Infrastructure Projects
- ₹349.22 crore flyover at Mufassil Mor in Gaya town.
- ₹90.16 crore Rail Over Bridge (ROB) at Bageshwari Gumti on the Gaya–Manpur railway line.
- ₹104.72 crore road widening from Gaya–Paraiya–Guraru–Aurangabad–Rafighanj.
- ₹119.74 crore road widening from Kothi to Saleya (Imamganj block), linking Jharkhand.
- ₹39.82 crore Bela–Panari Road widening and strengthening, including village link roads.

Education and Civic Development Works
- Minority residential school at Belthu village worth ₹58.45 crore.
- New degree college in Imamganj block costing ₹14.52 crore.
- Development of Kandi Navada and Siloja Parks worth ₹41.60 crore.
- Renovation of Bara Dam in Imamganj block (₹3.61 crore).
- Expansion of Moratal-Mukta Pain canal under Batsapur Weir scheme for ₹77.60 crore.
CM’s Interaction with Beneficiaries
At the Chakand High School campus, Nitish Kumar also interacted with pension beneficiaries, Jeevika women self-help groups, and other locals. He inspected the Bela–Panari Road project and assured citizens that the government is working to improve connectivity, education, and civic amenities across Bihar.

Nitish Kumar emphasized that these projects will improve regional connectivity, support students with better facilities, and create new growth opportunities in Gaya and beyond.
