NLC India Ltd., a Navratna PSU, announced on Wednesday that it has donated Rs 1 crore to the Kerala Disaster Mitigation Fund. The donation was made through the CSR Fund of NLC Tamil Nadu Power Ltd. The cheque was formally handed over to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman & Managing Director of NLC India. This contribution is aimed at supporting the recovery and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the devastating floods and landslides in Wayanad, triggered by heavy rains on July 30.

For over three decades, NLC India has been a dependable power supplier to Kerala, playing a significant role in the state’s economic progress. Additionally, NLC India has entered into a power purchase agreement with Kerala State Electricity Board for the supply of 400 MW of electricity from its upcoming NLC Talabira Thermal Power Project in Odisha.
