NLC India Recognised as Top Performer in Government’s Special Campaign 5.0 for Outstanding Clean-Up and Innovation

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a leading public sector undertaking in the energy sector, has been recognised as one of the Best Performers under the Government of India’s Special Campaign 5.0. The award highlights the company’s exceptional contributions in executing the campaign with efficiency, innovation, and measurable impact.

Outstanding Performance in Special Campaign 5.0

As part of Special Campaign 5.0, NLCIL delivered remarkable results by cleaning 186 sites, covering a total area of 34.82 lakh sq. ft., generating a revenue of ₹6.21 crore, and reviewing 10,619 files, out of which 2,020 files were weeded out. These efforts reflect NLCIL’s commitment to organisational efficiency, cleanliness, and systematic management practices.

Under the New Initiative/Best Practice category, the company received a Special Appreciation Certificate for its innovative initiative, “Awareness Song for Special Campaign 5.0”, which creatively engaged employees and the public in the objectives of the campaign.

Award Presentation and Recognition

The award was presented by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal and Mines, and Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary (Coal), during the Half-Yearly Review Meeting on the Coal Sector held at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi, on 13 November 2025.

Receiving the award on behalf of NLCIL were Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director; Thiru Appakannu Govindarajan, CVO; and Shri Arivu O. S., General Manager (HR) and Nodal Officer for Special Campaign 5.0. Senior officials from the Ministry of Coal and Mines were also present at the ceremony.

Shri Kishan Reddy congratulated Team NLCIL for its exceptional performance, dedication, and innovative contributions, noting that such efforts significantly enhance the effectiveness of government initiatives.
