Neyveli: The Valedictory function of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2025 organized by the Vigilance Department of NLC India Limited (NLCIL) was held today at the Lignite Hall, Neyveli. The campaign was observed from 27 October to 2 November 2025, following directives from the Central Vigilance Commission, on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

CMD Highlights Vigilance as Key to NLCIL’s Growth Vision

Thiru Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), NLCIL, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he paid rich tributes to Mr. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, in whose memory the campaign is conducted.

CMD Motupalli called upon all stakeholders to observe the spirit of vigilance throughout the year. He congratulated the Vigilance Department for conducting innovative programmes that achieved maximum outreach. Emphasizing NLCIL’s ambitious growth plans—tripling power generation capacity, increasing renewable energy output sevenfold in the next three years, and a CAPEX plan of ₹2.5 Lakh Crore—he underlined the crucial role of vigilance in ensuring transparency and accountability in all activities.

He also suggested the framing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across departments and appreciated the Vigilance Department for emphasizing preventive vigilance to achieve organizational targets effectively.
