New Delhi: Narora Atomic Power Station (NAPS) actively participated in the State Level Special Vendor Development Program (SVDP) held at Agra, organised jointly by DICCI and NSIC SC-ST Hub, Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The event aimed at empowering SC–ST and other Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) entrepreneurs, helping them integrate into the supply chains of major public sector undertakings like NPCIL.
Focus on Empowering Entrepreneurs
The program provided valuable guidance to entrepreneurs on tender participation through the GeM portal, benefits available under MSME policies, and opportunities to become suppliers for the nuclear power sector. Participants were encouraged to adopt best business practices, understand procurement procedures, and explore financial support mechanisms.
NAPS highlighted several key initiatives supporting MSEs, including:
- Implementation of TReDS for improved working capital support
- MSE-reserved tender procedures to promote inclusivity
- Compliance with Government of India circulars and Public Procurement Policy-2012 sub-targets
- Regular procurement updates through the MSME-SAMBANDH portal
Over 100 entrepreneurs, including women business owners, actively participated in the session, benefitting from knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and guidance on leveraging the Stand-Up India initiatives.
