NTPC Talcher Kaniha Hands Over ₹1.33 Crore Community Projects to Boost Rural Infrastructure

Talcher Kaniha: NTPC Talcher Kaniha has inaugurated and handed over three major community infrastructure projects worth ₹1.33 crore as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These projects aim to enhance rural infrastructure, connectivity, and public amenities, reflecting NTPC’s commitment to sustainable community development in the region.

Projects Benefiting Local Communities 

The projects include:

  • An earthen embanked pond at Balangi village to support water conservation, irrigation, and fish cultivation, promoting agricultural sustainability.
  • A rest room at the Derang village community building, improving community amenities and sanitation.
  • A 650-metre-long concrete road at Derang Majhi Sahi, facilitating better connectivity and easing movement for residents.

Inauguration Ceremony and Officials’ Remarks

The facilities were inaugurated by Rudra Narayan Pani, MP, Dhenkanal, and Ashok Mohanty, MLA, Pallahara, in the presence of K. Narasimha Reddy, Executive Director, NTPC Talcher Kaniha, along with senior NTPC officials and local representatives. During the ceremony, dignitaries praised NTPC’s sustained focus on inclusive growth and highlighted how improved infrastructure positively impacts rural livelihoods and living standards.

NTPC Talcher Kaniha reaffirmed its dedication to need-based, sustainable CSR interventions across education, healthcare, sanitation, livelihood enhancement, women empowerment, and rural infrastructure.
