Ahmedabad: In a significant development for India’s solar energy sector, Solarium Green Energy Limited has been awarded a major rooftop solar project by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN). The company announced that it has received a Notification of Award (NoA) valued at approximately ₹8.05 crore (exclusive of GST) for the 2,083 kW rooftop solar project at the Salem Steel Plant in Tamil Nadu.
Contract Awarded Under Pan-India Rooftop Solar Tender
The project falls under NVVN’s nationwide tender titled “Selection & Discovery of L1 Rates for Rate Contract for EPC of Grid Connected Rooftop Solar PV Projects (Above 1000 KW) across India.” Solarium Green Energy’s selection for this high-capacity industrial rooftop installation underscores the company’s growing expertise in executing large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solar projects.
According to the official announcement, the project is expected to be completed within 180 days from the date of the Notification of Award.

Scope of Work and Strategic Significance
The contract scope includes:
- Local transportation of all equipment
- Inland transit insurance and incidental delivery costs
- Complete installation services for solar components
- Civil and allied construction work
- Implementation of all required safety measures
This award is not only expected to boost Solarium Green Energy’s customer base, but also contribute positively to its profitability and future project pipeline.
