On the occasion of International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples or World Tribal Day that is celebrated on 9th August, various IAS and IPS officers paid their respect to the rich adivasi culture & heritage of our country. Apart from sending away the best wishes to all the tribes residing here, officers also highlighted the importance of saving the diverse culture and upliftment of tribal groups.
IAS officer Pamela Satpathy chose the occasion to spread awareness about the lesser known Naikpod Tribes of Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Whereas, MD of Jharkhand State Agricultural Marketing Board and former DC of Koderma Mr. Ramesh Gholap paid his tribute to Indian Tribal Freedom Fighter Birsa Munda by sharing a song on him.
DM of Bankura district, West Bengal Ms. K Radhika Aiyar said emphasised on the need to accept all the diverse culture.
