Sudhanshu Mohan Samal (IAS), Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) Limited, recently conducted a comprehensive review of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Accompanied by the Director (HR) and Director (Finance), the meeting focused on evaluating ongoing activities within the operational periphery and emphasized the need for a greater emphasis on environmental sustainability and green energy.
During the review, Samal highlighted the importance of aligning CSR efforts with long-term goals that benefit both communities and the environment. He directed CSR teams to enhance their work in areas such as renewable energy adoption, afforestation, and other eco-centric projects. These initiatives aim to ensure a lasting and meaningful impact on the surrounding regions.

With this renewed focus on environmental projects and green energy, OMC seeks to promote sustainable development while strengthening its ecological and social contributions. This strategic shift aligns with the government’s broader vision of advancing green energy solutions and achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), reinforcing OMC’s reputation as a socially responsible public sector enterprise.
