Patna: In a significant move to address long-standing issues related to teacher transfers, the Bihar Education Department has released posting and transfer details for 10,322 women teachers across the state. The step is seen as a major administrative relief for thousands of teachers who had been waiting for clarity regarding their job placements.
Details of Transfer and Posting Released
The Education Department has finalized and released the school posting details for a large number of women teachers, bringing much-needed resolution to earlier confusion:
- 881 women teachers who were earlier allotted districts but not schools have now been assigned specific schools.
- 1,063 teachers who had not been allotted either a district or school due to lower staff strength in their current institutions have now been posted appropriately.
Additionally, 8,378 teachers teaching Classes 6 to 12 have been transferred.
Out of these-
- 2,043 have received both district and school postings.
- 6,335 have been allotted districts only – school allotments for them will be made by the District Establishment Committees.

This large-scale transfer exercise marks one of the biggest moves by the department in recent times, aimed at-
