Ruchi Singh hails from Mahendrapur village in the Matihani block of Begusarai district in Bihar.

She later graduated from St Stephen’s College, Delhi, one of the country’s most prestigious institutions.

Her strong academic foundation and consistent efforts played a key role in her success in the highly competitive UPSC examination.

Professional Experience

Before clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Ruchi Singh was already serving in a government role.

She is currently working as a BSC-qualified officer at the DPR Office in Lakhisarai, Bihar.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025 on Friday.

A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to prestigious services including:

• Indian Administrative Service (IAS)

• Indian Foreign Service (IFS)

• Indian Police Service (IPS)

• Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

This year, Anuj Agnihotri from Kota, a doctor by profession, secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the examination.

Rajeshwari Suve M and Akanksha Dhull secured the second and third ranks, respectively.
