IPS officer P Krishnakant has been appointed as SP in Central Bureau of Investigation. He is an IPS officer of 2016 batch and Karnataka cadre. According to an official order, his term in CBI will be of five years.
Let it be noted that Mr. Krishnakant has earlier served in Indian Revenue Service before joining IPS. As an IPS officer, he has served in several districts of Karnataka including Udupi, Chikmangalauru, Dharwad and Bengaluru. Earlier, he was posted as SP in Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department.
