Pandhurna: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired a meeting of the District Development Advisory Committee in Pandhurna on Sunday, reviewing ongoing and completed development works and discussing plans for the district’s further development.
Yadav said development of newly created districts, improvement of citizen facilities and faster implementation of development works were among the government’s priorities. He also said efforts would be made to promote industries and connect local youth with employment and self-employment opportunities.
₹112 Crore Works Completed, ₹248 Crore Underway
According to the state government, development works worth ₹112 crore have been completed in Pandhurna district. These include Sandipani schools in Pandhurna and Sausar, a police control room in Pandhurna and the first phase of Hanuman Lok at Jamsavli Hanuman Temple.

The district currently has development works worth ₹248 crore under construction, including government offices, roads, bridges and tap-water projects.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the proposed plan for the new Collectorate building in Pandhurna and took information about the progress of the next phase of construction at Hanuman Lok.

Hanuman Lok Revenue Reported to Have Increased
The meeting was informed that the average monthly income associated with Hanuman Lok had increased from ₹25 lakh to ₹60 lakh after its inauguration, according to the state government.
The first phase also included the auction of 57 shops, which generated approximately ₹11 crore, the government said. The revenue is being used for the development and maintenance of the temple and facilities for devotees.
Focus on Industry, Agriculture and Skill Development
Yadav said the government would promote industries and prepare programmes related to agriculture and skill development in Pandhurna. He also highlighted the scope for increasing animal husbandry and milk production in the district.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected departmental stalls at a Seva Setu and Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp at Sandipani School, Pandhurna.
He reviewed products prepared by local entrepreneurs and women self-help groups, including pickles, tomato sauce, spices, Lippon art, mosaic art and T-light crafts. He also visited stalls showcasing forest and medicinal products, renewable-energy initiatives and naturally farmed vegetables, grains and turmeric.

Benefits Distributed Under Government Schemes
Yadav distributed benefits to beneficiaries under various government schemes and handed over scooters to meritorious Class 12 students under the Mukhyamantri Scooty Yojana.
Benefits distributed during the programme included assistance for drip irrigation, tool grants, pension schemes, assistive devices, housing under PMAY 2.0, food entitlement slips, a Bio Resource Centre and Ayushman cards.
The Chief Minister also participated in programmes under the Seva Mera Yogdan and Seva Setu campaigns, including events themed “Our Elderly, Our Pride” and “Our Children, Our Pride.” He honoured elderly residents and interacted with children covered under the Mukhyamantri Bal Ashirwad Yojana.
