The Indian paralympic Stars along with their coaches and staff were invited to breakfast with Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi at his residence on Thursday. The PM had words with each and every athlete present there.
While interacting with Parabadminton shuttler Mr Suhas and Archer Mr harvinder singh , Mr Modi said, “Happy to be among Vidvaans.” As most of us don’t know that Mr Suhas Yathiraj is an IAS officer too who is currently serving as DM of Noida district while Mr Harvinder Singh apart from being an Archer is also an avid reader who is a PhD scholar in Economics.
Mr Modi started his interaction by saying, ” I’m happy to be among a table of Vidvaans. He praised Mr Singh’s initiative of pursuing doctorate studies and said that he has set an example that sports and studies both can go parallel.” According to an official source.
The event was organized to celebrate the record breaking victory of India in Tokyo paralympics 2020 which ended with 19 medals including 5 gold.
Mr Modi interacted with each and every player and asked them about their experiences, family and further needs. On this occasion para rifle shooter golden girl Miss Avani Lakhera, javelin thrower Mr. Devendra Jhajharia were also presented.
The PM encouraged athletes to read about all inspiring personalities from all walks of life to learn and explore the worldview.
