New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today chaired a high-level meeting with Secretaries of various Ministries and Departments to review national preparedness and inter-ministerial coordination in light of recent national security developments.
Emphasizing seamless coordination, the Prime Minister called for operational continuity, institutional resilience, and readiness across government systems. He reviewed the preparedness plans of ministries and urged them to ensure fool-proof functioning of essential systems, with a focus on emergency response and internal communication protocols.
Secretaries presented detailed planning under a Whole-of-Government approach, confirming that all ministries have identified actionable steps and are prepared to respond to any emerging situation.
Key areas of discussion included civil defence readiness, countering misinformation, and protection of critical infrastructure. Ministries were also directed to maintain close coordination with state authorities and local institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Cabinet Secretary, senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, and Secretaries from pivotal ministries such as Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Power, Health, and Telecommunications.
PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to national security, stressing the need for continued alertness, clear communication, and institutional synergy as the nation navigates a sensitive phase.
