The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, will be chairing the NITI Aayog’s ninth Governing Council meeting on July 27th, where the ‘Vikshit Bharat@2047’ document, regarded as a tool for making India a developed nation, will be discussed. The National Institute for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog launched in 2015 is the government’s think tank comprising all state chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and several Union ministers. PM Modi himself is the Chairman of NITI Aayog.
Back in 2023, NITI Aayog was entrusted with the task of consolidating the 10 sectoral thematic visions into a combined vision for Viksit Bharat @2047. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance, among others.
