Gurugram: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has paid a final dividend of ₹574.35 crore for the financial year 2024–25 to the Government of India.
With this, the total dividend payout to the government for FY 2024–25, including interim dividends, has reached ₹4,297.40 crore, marking yet another strong performance by the transmission giant.
Cheque Presented to Union Power Minister
The cheque was formally presented to Mr Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Power, by Mr R. K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of POWERGRID. The event was held in New Delhi and attended by the Directors of POWERGRID.
Operational Highlights
As of 31st August 2025, POWERGRID has–
- Commissioned and is operating 286 substations
- Developed and maintained over 1,80,864 circuit kilometers (ckm) of transmission lines
- Built a transformation capacity of 5,77,331 MVA
The corporation continues to lead in grid reliability and operational excellence, achieving an average transmission system availability of more than 99.84% – thanks to the integration of modern automation, digital solutions, and advanced technological tools.
