Imphal: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) is set to commission India’s first eco-friendly 145 kV Green Circuit Breaker at its Imphal substation. This move marks a significant step in advancing sustainable power infrastructure and supporting the country’s Net Zero goals.

During a ceremony marking the occasion, R. K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director of POWERGRID, reiterated the corporation’s commitment to sustainability. He emphasized the importance of localization and adoption of environment-friendly solutions to drive India’s clean energy transition. Senior officials were also present, reinforcing the strategic importance of this step.
