New Delhi: Union Minister of Power, Mr. R.K. Singh, today received a cheque worth ₹2067.68 crore as the first interim dividend for the fiscal year 2025-26 from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID). The cheque was presented by Mr. R.K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director of POWERGRID, during a formal event attended by Mr. M.L. Khattar, Union Minister of Power, Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India, along with other senior officials and members of the POWERGRID Board.

This substantial interim dividend reflects POWERGRID’s consistent financial strength and its ongoing commitment to contributing to the exchequer of the Government of India. The presentation of the dividend comes at a time when the company continues to play a critical role in enhancing India’s power transmission infrastructure.
