New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) have approved the appointments of three senior civil service officers – Prateek Kumar Mishra (IRS), Tamanna Sinha (IES), and Zuber Mohd (IOFS) – to significant posts under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointments span across the Ministries of Law and Justice, Central Vigilance Commission, and Youth Affairs and Sports, respectively.
Prateek Kumar Mishra Appointed Director in Department of Justice
Mr Mishra, a 2011-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Justice, which functions under the Ministry of Law and Justice.
According to the official order by DoPT, Mr Mishra will serve in this role for a tenure of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. He was nominated for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, and the order directed that he be relieved of his current responsibilities to join his new post in New Delhi.
Tamanna Sinha Appointed Deputy Secretary in Central Vigilance Commission
Ms Sinha, a 2012-batch officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
Her appointment is for a period of four years under the Central Staffing Scheme, beginning from the date she assumes office. She was recommended by the Department of Economic Affairs, and the DoPT has asked for her to be relieved from her current assignment to join the CVC headquarters in New Delhi.
Zuber Mohd Appointed Deputy Secretary in Olympics Division, Dept of Sports
Mr Mohd, a 2014-batch officer from the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), has been selected for the post of Deputy Secretary in the Olympics Division, under the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
As per the DoPT order, his tenure will initially be for two years, extendable as per applicable norms or until further instructions. He was recommended by the Department of Defence Production, and the order instructed that he be relieved to assume charge in New Delhi.
