New Delhi: Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, where she underscored the vital role of personal and professional integrity in leadership, governance, and nation-building.

President Stresses Integrity as Key to Leadership

During her interaction with the 77 RR (2024 batch) IPS probationers, President Murmu highlighted that while police officers derive authority from laws and institutional systems, true power emanates from one’s personal and professional integrity. She emphasized that a future-ready police force led by capable young officers would play a pivotal role in shaping a strong, developed, and resilient India, often referred to as “Viksit Bharat,” according to a statement from the President’s Secretariat.

The President urged the probationers to uphold ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability as they prepare to take on responsibilities in law enforcement, emphasizing that the credibility of the police force depends on the integrity and professionalism of its officers.
