New Delhi: In a significant recognition of India’s public sector enterprises (PSEs), President Droupadi Murmu will confer the SCOPE Eminence Awards on August 29, 2025, in a grand ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Organized by the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), with the support of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), the awards seek to honour outstanding achievements and contributions of PSEs in various domains, including innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, governance, and corporate social responsibility.

Celebrating the Role of Public Sector in Nation-Building

The SCOPE Eminence Awards are regarded as one of the highest recognitions for public sector undertakings (PSUs) in India. They reflect the strategic vision of recognizing the contribution of PSEs towards nation-building, economic development, and social progress.

Pankaj Chaudhary, Minister of State for Finance, and K Moses Chalai, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises, will also be present at the ceremony. Their attendance underscores the government’s continued commitment to strengthening the role of PSEs in driving inclusive and sustainable growth.

SCOPE’s Continued Commitment to Excellence

The awards are a part of SCOPE’s broader mandate to promote excellence, accountability, and innovation within the public sector. By celebrating exemplary performance across various parameters, the initiative aims to inspire leadership, competitiveness, and long-term value creation among India’s public enterprises.

This year’s edition is expected to bring together top executives from leading PSUs, government officials, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, reinforcing the significance of public sector leadership in shaping India’s economic and developmental future.

Looking Ahead

As India moves steadily toward the goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy and achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047, platforms like the SCOPE Eminence Awards play a pivotal role in motivating and recognising the efforts of organizations that contribute meaningfully to national progress.

Established in 1973 and formally recognized by the Union Cabinet in 1976, SCOPE aims to promote competitiveness and excellence within its member organizations, which also include some state enterprises, banks, and other institutions
