New Delhi: Bharat Dynamics expansion is set to strengthen India’s defence manufacturing capacity as the public sector company plans major new facilities in Hyderabad and Jhansi.

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a key defence PSU, has announced plans to set up two new manufacturing facilities:
- Ibrahimpatnam (Hyderabad, Telangana)
- Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor)
These facilities are expected to become operational in FY2026–27 and will significantly increase the company’s production capacity.
The expansion aligns with India’s focus on strengthening domestic defence manufacturing under initiatives like Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Hyderabad Facility (Ibrahimpatnam)
The Hyderabad plant will be a high-tech defence manufacturing hub with:
- 8 advanced missile assembly lines
- Infrastructure for next-generation weapon systems
