PFCL Pays Highest Ever Interim Dividend to GoI

The total sum of interim dividends paid by PFC to its shareholders for the financial year 2023-24 is a whopping Rs. 3,630 crores
Maharatna PSU, Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFCL) disbursed a sum of Rs. 554 crores to the Government of India as the third Interim dividend on its (government’s) equity shares for the financial year 2023-24. The third interim dividend at 30% or Rs. 3 per equity share of face value of Rs. 10 each was declared by the Board of Directors in the Board meeting held on March 11, 2024.
This sum has been credited in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs. 832 crores and the second interim dividend of Rs. 647 crores paid by PFC to the Government of India earlier. Hence, the total interim dividends paid by PFC to its shareholders for the financial year 2023-24 has become a whopping Rs. 3,630 crores.
The interim dividend RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) intimation advice has been presented to the Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy Mr. R.K. Singh, and Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Mr. Pankaj Agarwal (1992 batch IAS officer), by CMD, PFC, Ms. Parminder Chopra in New Delhi on April 3, 2024. Other distinguished officials like the Director (Projects) of PFC, Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Jha (1985 batch IAS) and the Director (Commercial) of PFC, Mr. Manoj Sharma graced the occasion.
