Punjab: 9 IAS Officers Reshuffled, Tejveer Singh Made ACS, Local Government With Additional Charge Of ACS Industries & Commerce

The government of Punjab transferred several senior IAS officers across the state in a minor bureaucratic reshuffle exercise.

The IAS officers who got new postings are:

  • Mr. Alok Shekhar (1994 batch), last posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS)-cum-Financial Commissioner in the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, has been made Additional Chief Secretary of Jails with an additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries.
  • Mr. Tejveer Singh (1994 batch), last posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Power with additional charges of CMD in the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd., Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Industries and Commerce and Additional Chief Secretary of Information Technology, has become Additional Chief Secretary of Local Government with additional charges of Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce and Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology.
  • Mr. Ajoy Sharma (1999 batch), previously posted as Principal Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare with an additional charge of Principal Secretary of Local Government, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary in the Department of Tourism and Culture Affairs with additional charges of Financial Commissioner, Forests & Wild Life Preservation and Principal Secretary, Governance Reforms.
  • Mr. Rahul Tiwari (2000 batch), posted as Administrative Secretary in the Department of Science Technology and Environment, has been given additional charges of Administrative Secretary in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Administrative Secretary in the Department of Power and CMD in the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd.
  • Mr. Kumar Rahul (2000 batch), last posted as Administrative Secretary of Jails, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
  • Ms. Gurpreet Kaur Sapra (2005 batch), last posted as Secretary in the Department of Finance with additional charges of Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar and Commissioner, Roopnagar Division, Roopnagar, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Department of Personnel with additional charges as Secretary in the Department of General Administration and Coordination, Secretary of Vigilance and Commissioner in Roopnagar Division.
  • Mr. Dilraj Singh (2005 batch), previously posted as Administrative Secretary in the Department of Transport with an additional charge of Administrative Secretary in the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, has been made Administrative Secretary in the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats with an additional charge of Administrative Secretary of Transport and Administrative Secretary in the Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
  • Mr. Amit Dhaka (2006 batch), earlier posted as Administrative Secretary in the Department of Planning with additional charges of Secretary of the Punjab Development Commission, Director of MGSIPA and Administrative Secretary in the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, has been transferred as the Administrative Secretary in the Department of Planning with an additional charge of Director of MGSIFA.
  • Mr. Pardeep Kumar (2007 batch), last posted as Secretary in the Department of Transport with an additional charge of Secretary, Freedom Fighters, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner in the Jalandhar Division.
