Chandigarh: The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has ordered the transfer and posting of several IAS and PCS officers on administrative grounds with immediate effect.
The reshuffle brings key changes across the School Education, Civil Aviation, Food & Civil Supplies, and Housing & Urban Development departments, along with significant field-level postings in various districts. The move is seen as part of a broader administrative rebalancing exercise to streamline governance and improve efficiency.
Key IAS Transfers
Sonali Giri, IAS (2009 Batch)
Ms Giri, who was serving as Managing Director of Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP), while also holding additional charge as Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation, and Administrative Secretary for School Education and Higher Education & Languages, has now been posted as Administrative Secretary, School Education.
She will continue to hold additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Higher Education & Languages, and Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation.
B. Srinivasan, IAS (2011 Batch)
Upon joining the State of Punjab, B. Srinivasan’s services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs for appointment as Managing Director, PUNSUP, replacing Sonali Giri.
PCS Officers Transferred
Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, PCS (2014 Batch)
Earlier serving as Additional Chief Administrator, Patiala Development Authority, Patiala, she has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khanna, against a vacant post.
Geetika Singh, PCS (2014 Batch)
Geetika Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SAS Nagar, has been relieved of her additional charges as Member Secretary of the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Punjab, and Secretary of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board. These responsibilities were earlier being handled in addition to her primary posting.
Chetan Bunger, PCS (2023 Batch)
Serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Amloh, and holding additional charge as Regional Transport Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib, he has now been posted as Regional Transport Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib.

Chief Minister’s Field Officer, Kapurthala, Vishal Watts has been appointed as Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab.
