Punjab Government Transfers 2 IAS Officers; Varun Roojam Assigned Additional Charge, Jaspinder Singh Moved to Moga as ADC (General)

The Punjab government on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers, implementing administrative reshuffles across key departments.

Varun Roojam Gets Additional Charge

According to the official notification, Varun Roojam (IAS: 2004: PB), who is currently serving as Administrative Secretary, 

Transport Department, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi.

This new responsibility places him in charge of coordinating Punjab’s official representation and engagements in the national capital.

Jaspinder Singh Transferred to Moga

The state government has also transferred Jaspinder Singh (IAS: 2002: PB), presently the SDM of Dina Nagar.

He has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Moga, and will also hold additional charge of the Municipal Corporation, Moga. His new role involves overseeing general administration and municipal affairs in the district.

Smooth Administrative Functioning Expected

The reshuffle aims to streamline administrative functioning and strengthen district-level governance. Both officers are expected to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
