The Punjab Government on Tuesday carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring and assigning new responsibilities to two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. As part of the administrative changes, B. Srinivasan (IAS:2011) has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director, Mines & Geology, while Abhijeet Kaplish (IAS:2015) has been appointed as the full-time Chief Executive of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA).
The orders, issued with immediate effect, were approved by the competent authority, with the Chief Secretary directing both officers to assume charge of their new assignments without delay.
B. Srinivasan Gets Additional Charge of Mines & Geology
Under the latest transfer order, B. Srinivasan (IAS:2011) will continue as Managing Director of PUNSUP while taking on the additional responsibility of Director, Mines & Geology.

With this move, Srinivasan replaces Abhijeet Kaplish in handling the Mines & Geology Department.
Abhijeet Kaplish Posted as Full-Time CEO of PEDA
Abhijeet Kaplish (IAS:2015) has been relieved of his responsibilities as Director, Mines & Geology.
His services have now been placed at the disposal of the Department of New and Renewable Energy Sources, where he will serve as the Chief Executive of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) on a regular basis.
