Tehri: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Ghansali in Tehri district to inaugurate and lay the foundation for various development projects worth ₹41.21 crore. Highlighting the government’s commitment to timely implementation of schemes, CM Dhami said the administration’s priority is not just announcements but ensuring that projects are completed on the ground within the stipulated timeframe.
Inauguration and Foundation Laying of Key Projects
During the visit, CM Dhami inaugurated projects worth ₹13.43 crore and laid the foundation for additional projects totaling ₹27.78 crore. These projects cover critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and road infrastructure in the hilly region.
A major highlight was the land puja for upgrading the Pilkhi Primary Health Center to a Community Health Center (CHC), signaling a significant improvement in local healthcare facilities.
Recognition of Local Contributions
The Chief Minister publicly honored Krishna Gairola and his family for donating land for the hospital project. Their contribution was recognized as a key step in facilitating healthcare development in the region.
The program also featured vibrant cultural performances and band presentations by school students, adding a festive and celebratory atmosphere to the event.
CM Emphasizes Timely Execution and Public Welfare
CM Dhami emphasized that the projects whose foundations were laid must begin immediately and be completed on schedule. He reiterated that the state government’s top priority is strengthening basic amenities such as roads, healthcare, and education in mountainous areas.
He added that strong determination can overcome resource constraints, ensuring that development projects reach every citizen efficiently.
Healthcare Initiatives and Social Welfare
CM Dhami highlighted several ongoing welfare schemes:
- Ayushman Bharat Scheme provides families up to ₹5 lakh annual free medical treatment.
- Benefits under DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) ensure transparency and direct delivery to beneficiaries.
- Nanda Gaura Scheme offers financial assistance of ₹51,000 to daughters, supporting education and welfare.
He also announced the establishment of a Sub-Dispensary in Pilkhi Beleshwar area to further strengthen healthcare access in remote regions.
Addressing Local Infrastructure and Development Needs
The CM assured that other key regional demands would be addressed with priority, including:
- 30-bed hospital in Ghansali
- Rehabilitation work in Trigad
- Construction of Bal Ganga Bridge
- School building construction and power house foundation laying
Local MLA Shaktilal Shah welcomed CM Dhami and thanked the government for approving these projects. He also submitted a 37-point demand memorandum highlighting additional developmental needs of the region.
Focus on Employment and Land Management
CM Dhami highlighted that thousands of youths have been provided employment opportunities, and government land has been freed from encroachment, reflecting the administration’s commitment to development and transparency.
