New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel), a Mini-Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has announced the appointment of Ms. Sarika Aggarwal Synrem as the Company’s Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO). The appointment was made in accordance with Ministry of Railways Order No. 2014/E(O)II/39/28. Ms. Synrem’s tenure as CVO is set for an initial period of three years from the date she assumes charge or until further notice, whichever comes first.
Ms. Sarika Aggarwal Synrem Assumes Charge as RailTel CVO
Ms. Synrem officially took charge of her new role on November 21, 2025, joining RailTel’s senior management team. The appointment is aimed at strengthening corporate governance, vigilance, and preventive measures across the organization’s operations.
Extensive Experience in Defense Finance and Governance
A 2001-batch Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer, Ms. Synrem brings over two decades of experience in defense finance, governance, program evaluation, capacity building, and revenue administration. Her expertise in financial oversight and regulatory compliance is expected to enhance RailTel’s operational integrity and adherence to corporate and statutory norms.
Focus on Strengthening Vigilance and Compliance
With her appointment, RailTel intends to further its commitment to transparency, ethical business practices, and preventive vigilance. The CVO’s role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, safeguarding organizational assets, and promoting an ethical work culture across all levels of the company.
