New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, has approved the deputation of Shri Vikas Goel, IRSE, currently serving as Sr. DEN/C/Lucknow, Northern Railway, to the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL).
He has been selected for the post of Chief Engineer (Civil) at UPMRCL. His deputation will be governed by parent pay plus deputation allowance and is scheduled for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Relief and Terms of Deputation
As per official communication (Letter No. 2025/E(O)II/7/83) –
- Northern Railway has been requested to relieve Shri Goel for his new assignment.
- The officer will be deemed relieved upon completion of the deputation period unless extended officially.
- Communication has also been shared with the Managing Director of UPMRCL and other senior Railway Board officials.

This deputation underscores the ongoing collaboration between Indian Railways and state-level metro corporations, leveraging experienced railway engineers to strengthen urban mobility infrastructure in India.
