Rajasthan Govt Finalizes Promotion Process for 59 IAS Officers; Official List Expected by December 31 – Full Details and Expected List

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has completed the promotion process for 59 IAS officers, and the official orders are expected to be released by December 31. The promotions have been finalized by the Chief Secretary in consultation with the Department of Personnel, marking a significant development for senior and mid-level bureaucrats in the state.

According to sources, this move will bring substantial changes in the administrative structure, including potential reshuffles in district postings and secretariat assignments.

Top Promotions to Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary

Two senior IAS officers from the 1996 batch, Ajitabh Sharma and Alok Gupta, are set to be promoted to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary. Both are currently serving as Principal Secretaries.

Meanwhile, officers KK Pathak and Naveen Jain of the 2001 batch will move up to Principal Secretary rank. KK Pathak, presently posted at the Centre, is expected to receive a pro forma promotion.

Promotions from 2010 Batch to Secretary Level

A total of 10 IAS officers from the 2010 batch, including Jitendra Soni, Inderjeet Singh, Neha Giri, Vishwamohan Sharma, Kanhaiyalal Swami, Nalini Kathotia, Rajendra Vijay, Pragya Kevalramani, Prakash Rajpurohit, and Mahaveer Prasad, are slated to become secretaries. Officers currently on central deputation, such as Prakash Rajpurohit and Inderjeet Singh, will receive pro forma promotions. All 10 officers will be promoted from the junior to Selection Pay Scale.

Promotions from 2013 Batch

Twenty-two IAS officers from the 2013 batch will also receive promotions from the junior to Selection Pay Scale. These include Ashish Gupta, Nathmal Didel, Namrata Vrishni, Kanaram, Anshdeep, Alok Ranjan, Nagikya Gohen, Arvind Poshwal, Pradeep K. Gawande, Mahaveer Prasad Meena, Khajan Singh, ML Chauhan, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, LN Mantri, Iqbal Khan, Kalpana Agarwal, Manish Arora, Pushpa Satyani, Shruti Bhardwaj, Arun Kumar Purohit, Mukul Sharma, and Ajay Singh Rathore. Officers on central deputation, such as Ashish Gupta and Anshdeep, will also get pro forma promotions.

Promotions from 2017 and 2022 Batches

Among the 2017 batch, 10 officers—Utsav Kaushal, Gaurav Saini, Shweta Chauhan, Avdhesh Meena, Devendra Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Akshay Godara, Srinidhi BT, Saumya Jha, and Mahendra Khagrawat—are slated for promotion.

Similarly, 12 officers from the 2022 batch, including Yaksh Chaudhary, Pritam Kumar, Yatharth Shekhar, Anshu Priya, Saksham Goyal, Divyansh Singh, Shraddha Gome, Mohit Kasania, Bhaisare Shubham Ashok, Sonika Kumari, Shrestha Shri, and Charu, will be promoted from Junior to Senior Pay Scale.

Impact on District Postings

The promotions will have a direct impact on district administrations. Currently, around 10 districts are led by officers who are due for promotion. These include:

  • Jalore: Collector Pradeep K. Gawande
  • Sikar: Mukul Sharma
  • Salumber: Avdhesh Meena
  • Dausa: Devendra Kumar
  • Sawai Madhopur: Kanaram
  • Tonk: Kalpana Agarwal
  • Jhalawar: Ajay Singh Rathore
  • Nagaur: Arun Kumar Purohit
  • Chittorgarh: Alok Ranjan
  • Pali: Laxmi Narayan Mantri

The government will need to reassign these officers, resulting in new postings and district reshuffles.

Upcoming Secretariat Reshuffle

Alongside district changes, a large-scale secretariat reshuffle is expected in the first week of January. Officers who have been holding long-term positions in the secretariat may also be transferred. Among those likely to be moved are:

  • Krishna Kunal, Secretary of the School Education Department
  • Praveen Gupta, ACS of the Public Works Department, potentially moving to UDH
  • Debashish Prusty, Principal Secretary of the UDH Department

Timeline for Promotions and Transfers

The Personnel Department is expected to release the promotion list by December 31. Following this, the transfer orders for IAS and IPS officers may be issued in the first week of January, ensuring a smooth transition and administrative continuity.
